Elemental Room

‘Taliesin!’ Oeins’ voice echoed in the empty room, making it sound ghostly, especially as it was hissed with a hint of exasperation.  Taliesin grinned back, not heeding Oeins’ tone.

‘Shh, Tarran isn’t here, besides she wouldn’t mind anyway.’ Taliesin went back to what she had been doing. Oein shook her head and sighed as she leaned against the wall. When they had arrived, the room was filled with clutter and all sorts of furniture. Now, not so much.

‘I’m sure she will mind that you got RID OF ALL her stuff!’ Taliesin’s back stiffened slightly and she turned to glare at her Bonded.

‘You know that was an accident. I’m trying to fix it, now be quiet.’ Oein waved a hand as if to say whatever and waited. Taliesin didn’t take long, throwing out one hand then the other, she was like a conductor but instead of music, she was conducting elementals. All the elements were called, light flashed as power filled the room and soon it was done.

Oein opened her eyes, whistled as she willed her heart to keep beating. Tarran was going to explode. Taliesin backed up until she stood next to Oein and the two women cocked their heads, looking around the room. Silence was strong, until the Magi asked hesitantly.

‘It’s not that bad… is it?’

‘How about we go now before she comes home.’ Oein suggested instead of answering. Taliesin nodded, her relief palpable that was the suggestion.

‘Did you leave the papers?’ Oein asked as the backed out the room. Taliesin pointed to the notebook on the kitchen table.

‘Right! Let’s go.’

Meeting

Sigrun looked up as two women walked in the door. One was a Magi and the other a warrior. She sat straighter, a little nervous as she was the newest member. The Magi smiled brightly at her and sat down, reaching for one of the apples that Tarran kept on the table. The warrior nodded her head in greeting and sat down next to the Magi. There was an awkward silence for a moment, then The Magi held out her hand,

‘Hi, I am Taliesin and this is Oein’ Oein smiled and cleared her throat,

‘Don’t mind the Magi, she is a bit strange but you get used to her.’ Taliesin choked and glared at the other woman.

‘Hey!’

Oein shrugged and reached for some fruit as well. Sigrun felt a chuckle well up and she felt a bit more at ease.

‘Hi, I am Sigrun. It will be a pleasure working with you!’

Official news – Stones of Power has a home!

cropped-HeaderSatalytePub-Blog11

I would like to announce that my manuscript ‘Demon Wars #1 Stones of Power’ has been picked up by the wonderful people at Satalyte Publishing. This is such an exciting moment for me as I have been working very hard to make my dream a reality,

Look out in 2016 for book 1 of my fantasy series.

Demons, they were a myth; aren’t they? That is what Taliesin always thought, until the day one killed her parents. In the country of Kalitha, a Magi sparks off a chain of events that frees the First Lord of the Demons, held in captivity from the Demon War, 1000 years ago.

Oein, in Armanion is celebrating the end of the Trade War and whilst waiting for her father and brothers to come home, deserters from the Armanion army who have become bandits attack her village and violate her. She then starts to find her own destiny; one that combines with Taliesin.

Two women on the run, both in separate countries – yet bound to find each other. Oein trains to become Sword Master and The First Lord hunts Taliesin because she is one of most powerful Summoners there is and she can bring through the destruction of her world – for she can not only Summon Elementals but Demons as well.

Felior, Taliesin’s uncle takes her undercover in Kalitha, only one step ahead of the First Lord. They are searching for another myth, the Stones of Power, as the means to destroy the First Lord has been lost. It is a race to restore the Magi’s lost knowledge, which leads to the question – how can so many memories and histories be forgotten in so little time?
